Message tones getting cut after a few seconds have been an issue since day one on Windows Phone 8.1 Denim. I don't know how old this bug is because I haven't used a WP 8 or WP 7.x phone.
I know that's a bug and not the way it was meant to be because there's a workaround: Disable banner notifications for messages on WP8.1 and the message tone will play from start to end.
The problem is that this workaround doesn't seem to work on Windows 10 Mobile. Both my Lumia 535 and my mother's are on .218 and the short notification sounds bug is back.
Is there a solution for this?
