My friend has Lumia 640 xl Dual SIM LTE , Unlocked on windows 8.1 update 1 , i want to know shall he jump in into the Production win 10 via upgrade advisor , or go insider ?? Knowing that it will be used as daily driver , and are there any crucial issues & Battery drain !

Upgrade advisor.
Later, he could always join the Insider community, if he would like testing something new before others.
Remember him he MUST wait for all core and 3rd party app updates to 10 vrsn, syncing and caching a couple of days, before getting a 100% full power phone

Non insider Battery bug:-
My Lumia charged from 75% to 100% in 30 seconds... Whoa!

Actual time taken isn't decreased(more than 3 hrs to give back 14 hr standby*) in this build.

Photos App crashes most of time while scrolling.

Less than 7hrs battery backup with WiFi.*


*battery saver is always ON.

That always happens in my L535DS since upgrading to W10(from 75% approx to full charge).But total time taken to charge is 2.5 hours and battery lasts a full day with moderate use - better than with 8.1
I am not facing the other problems which you have mentioned.

Some one suggest join insider and get store app update but i don't want to join insider.

Try a soft reset now, and it doens't need you join insider program. update will came by itself if you left enabled store auto-update, and enabled in background apps

Soft reset does not work.

Trust me, don't loose your mind in hard resets and hours of updates and wifi huntings.... things are changings soon

I already done hard reset for 1 issue which is app purchase app required internet each time like multiplayer c player proshot app.
After hard reset app Purchas issue gone but this store app issue arrive.
Hopefully anniversary update gives store app update.
