Windows 10 Mobile Anniversary Update begins rolling out | Windows Central

Issues? Bugs? Solutions? For all things build 14393.67 of W10M. Discuss it all here.

Here is some useful information you may find yourself in need of.
[TIP]Some issues with responsiveness and app delays can be resolved by either restarting your phone or performing a Soft Reset.

If things get a bit more serious, you may opt to perform a hard reset or software reset.

Lastly, if things really get serious, you may need the Windows Device Recovery Tool to recover your phone back to working order - head over to the Microsoft FAQ Page for more information.

Make sure you check the official Windows 10 Mobile Support Page as well for some of the most common tips and trouble shooting guides.
[/TIP]
[INFO]
Restarting your phone involves turning it off and then turning it on again. Turn off your phone by pressing the power button until you are prompted to "Slide down to power off". Turn your phone on again by pressing the power button until it vibrates.

A Soft Reset is similar to pressing the reset button in PCs and has the same effect as pulling out the battery of your phone and then putting it back in. For phones with non-removable batteries, press the volume down and power button together until your phone restarts. Be aware that when using Windows 10, the volume down and power button combination will also launch Windows Feedback. Just continue to hold down the buttons for a full 10 seconds in order to trigger the soft reset. For phones with removable batteries, you can either opt for the button combination or remove the battery and then return it.

A Hard Reset or a Software Reset will reformat your phone by removing all the user information leaving only the bare OS and firmware currently installed in your phone. It does erase data so you should always keep a good backup of your phone just in case you have to resort to this option.

The Software Reset can be done by going to your phone Settings > System > About > tap on "Reset your phone." You will be prompted once before doing this just to be sure. Be sure, also, to have everything backed up since there would be no way to recover all of your files.

The Hard Reset accomplishes the same thing as the software reset, but can be accomplished when the phone is non-responsive and you are unable to enter into settings. To perform the Hard Reset, "Power off the phone > hold Volume Down > press Power > keep holding Volume Down until you see the exclamation (!) screen, then immediately release the Volume Down. Now tap Volume Up / Volume Down / Power / Volume Down. You should see the spinning gears and your phone will reflash the last OS version held in recovery.

The Windows Device Recovery Tool is the final option, for example for "bricked" phones that would no longer turn on, be charged, etc. This can be used to either roll back to a previous OS version or force an update to a more current OS version
[/INFO]
Remember, when reporting bugs be descriptive! The more information you give, the better the chance someone will be able to help you.

What OS version? Any special conditions that should be noted? What were you doing? What is the result? Any error codes or messages given? What have you tried for solutions? What variant of the phone are you using? Single SIM or Dual SIM?

Please describe as much as possible about the bug so others may try and replicate the bug and don't make suggestions for solutions that you have already tried which have failed.
[INFO]
When reporting bugs/issues, please also use the Windows Feedback app to report issues directly to Microsoft. Microsoft don't actively read forums looking for people reporting issues when they have a data collection system built right into the operating system. They use WF to analyse numbers and prioritise fixes (issues with more reports, get sorted quicker).

"You can use the Windows Feedback app to tell us which features you love about your Lumia with Windows 10, or when something could be better.
1.To launch the app, swipe over to the App list, and then select Windows Feedback.
2.See if someone else has given similar feedback by entering the topic, such as Microsoft OneDrive.
3.If you find similar feedback, tap the Upvote or tap on the feedback to open it, write the problem details to Add details-field and tap Send.
4.To narrow your search to a specific topic, you can filter the results by picking the category that matches your feedback the closest. For example, for feedback about the Microsoft OneDrive, select Apps and Games > OneDrive.
5.If you don’t find any similar feedback, tap + to add new feedback. Select the correct category and subcategory from the dropdown-list.
6.Enter your feedback (the more details the better!), add a screenshot if you can, and tap Send.
7.Your feedback will automatically upload when you are charging your phone and connected to Wi-Fi, but you can also upload the feedback manually by tapping … > Upload feedback data."

I don't know how or why, but I just got 14393.67 on my CV Lumia 635 512MB. This is awesome! I thought that all 512MB phones weren't eligible. It wasn't in any insider ring, and I've never done that registry hack, so I can't explain it. Really glad I finally have RS on this phone though.

You know that the build you're recieving now is the SAME one insiders got a few weeks back (14393.67)?

BTW I'm quoting your post from the last thread that got locked.
Yes I do know. But I do not want to go with Insider unless it is absolutely necessary. My phone was working fine with 10586.545 .The people tile was without contact photos and it still is after AU.However on my laptop I did use Update Advisor to upgrade.🙂

Disappointing. I had .67 on Insider and had to use device recovery to roll back because Bluetooth notifications quit working with my Garmin smartwatch. From what I'm seeing on Garmin forums, still not fixed. Guess I'll keep holding off with 10586.545.

That's funny, my phone is a (unlocked) 1GB 635 and I'm not getting the update. I've been pressing the "search for updates" button since early in the morning to no avail. Would be hilarious if MSFT mixed up the two models when releasing the OTA update. Has anyone with a 1GB 635 gotten it yet?

Cortana can send texts from my computer, and now I get banner notifications I can also reply to from my computer, but I still can't use the messaging app to do it? Microsoft is an unbelievable tease...

Re: Windows 10 Mobile Official/Production: Anniversary Update 14393.67 (Redstone 1, non-Insider)

My AT&T Go-Phone 635 512mb - but I did the unbranding hack and am running the Tmobile ROM.... is currently downloading 10.0.14393.67, amazing. If only my HTC One M8 that my son uses would update.......haven't done the registry hack on that, probably won't.

That's Funny, not that I use it or anything, its hard to carry four phones around LOL!! I need a new hobby.

Re: Windows 10 Mobile Official/Production: Anniversary Update 14393.67 (Redstone 1, non-Insider)

I had been running .67 as an insider for a while. One issue I have had for weeks (or maybe months) that's still present in .67 is that my calendar tile would stop updating and revert to the static Outlook icon, and I had to resize the tile everyday to re-enable the live tile.

I'd be interested to hear if non-insiders updating to the AU for the first time are encountering this problem. I want to know whether I'm facing this issue because something got messed up from installing previous insider builds, or whether this is a real issue that's MS has yet to address.

Re: Windows 10 Mobile Official/Production: Anniversary Update 14393.67 (Redstone 1, non-Insider)

My update was pretty quick. So far I like the experience, although I noticed two things that seem broken. The lock screen camera option doesn't work for me. I don't care since I have a 950 with a dedicate camera button, but still.

Also, the People app tile no longer shows contact pictures.

I really don't want to do a hard reset although I would consider that if these issues are resolved by other folks who have tried it.

UPDATE: People tile started working this morning as has the Camera icon on lock screen. Who knows? But that's a good sign.

Re: Windows 10 Mobile Official/Production: Anniversary Update 14393.67 (Redstone 1, non-Insider)

Installed without problem but first impression has been that I've got an unfinished product.
Scaling problems, confusion in the settings, the tiles in Store are unnecessary big (try search for an app, you get a two column list of apps because the tiles are huge), can't choose a number from a people's contact to call from skype (have credit to call fix numbers in skype).
Not impressed at all.
950XL (and still waiting for the last firmware update)

Does anyone now see the Windows Insider settings (now in Settings and not the app) grayed out and not selectable?

Re: Windows 10 Mobile Official/Production: Anniversary Update 14393.67 (Redstone 1, non-Insider)

Got the update on my Lumia 830 in India (unlocked). So far looking good, but occasional Black Screen issue was still observed after I changed text size to default (was using 225% earlier on .545 as recommended in other thread for Lumia 830).
Store has improved, but icons are very big and quite amount of space is wasted in spacing in "Downloads" page.
Skype app UI is changed.
Settings look better.
Need to see if Data Usage bug is solved, battery life.
BTW no extra large tile option available? Only Small Square, Medium Square and Wide Tiles size option available. I was thinking Large Tile option would be provided for People or Photos Tile.
