Dark Mode and Light Mode

Why does dark mode look clear and light mode looks like a milkish film over the tiles ? This happens when background is in full screen picture mode and the tile transparency is set to 100. It seems that the tile is not getting 100% transparent. Technically only the nav bar, settings background and other stuff should be changing light and dark accordingly. But this does not seem the case. Whenever I want light mode, I am forced to use background picture on tile mode. I have attached screenshots of both dark and light mode with 100% tile transparency and full screen picture background as well as light mode with tiled background.

I agree with you, I think that sucks really :( I'm hoping for that to be resolved soon.

It actually creates a default lighter tint so everything is lighter. So if you actually swipe right to your all app list, it will tint darker if you're in dark mode and lighter in light mode. My guess is because with translucency there is no way to distinguish light from dark so it creates a light tint on the start as well. It makes sense since you could technically add a dark picture but you want the theme to be as consistent as possible.

I notice it on mine but not as much and that's likely because of the colour/background choice.

It actually just probably uses more battery? No real reason for this. It's what keeps me from using light mode...which stinks now that Twitter is linked to the light mode you pick (which is odd).
