I just got a Lumia. The wireless connection via miracast (via continuum) seems really good (better than my tablet using regular miracast).

Interesting. I have the Roku Stick (the purple one, since the newer black one has not been released outside of the US so far) and that worked fine with my 950XL and Continuum. Right up until the latest firmware update for the Roku Stick. Now the 950XL does work with it for Continuum, but the audio is heavily distorted. A bit like the input volume has been turned way up. Dropping the phone volume to 1 does make it much less distorted, enough so you can hear what it is supposed to sound like, but it is still fairly messed up. My Windows 10 tablet (Toshiba Encore) still works with the Roku for projecting, but the 950XL is really messed up. On the Roku forum I have confirmation that this is happening to others as well.

The 950XL does, however, work fine (and with way less lag) via a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter v2 (though the app for the adapter does not work on the phone anymore since the Creator's Update, it no longer detects the display adapter despite being connected and this seems to be the general experience reading the mobile reviews for the app).

So, how have you got yours working? What Roku are you using, and if it's the stick, is it the older purple one or the newer US black one?

Planning to get the display hub myself, saw it at the local MSFT dealer (finally they have a unit in stock) for ~USD72.
I test it with the MSFT All-In-One Wireless Media Keyboard with Trackpad ... and it was fluid...

Must be that this affects only some Roku devices then. I believe the Roku TV is only available in the US as well as the rest of the newer devices from Roku. Perhaps it is the older models that are getting these issues. Unfortunately they are the current models for most of the world.

Yeah but my son can wirelessly a movie from his LG V20. The other day, we watched Prometheus on our 52" TV cast from his Amazon app on his LG V20. I can get Continuum working bit not cast a movie or photos without continuum.

Surely win10m supports DLNA? Almost everything does. Hope Kodi supports continuum when it goes full uwp...

I love connecting my cheapo miracast/dlna projector to my windowsphone or surface.
    wp_20160915_08_48_04_pro.jpg

Both work equally great on my old netgear push2tv miracast receiver too.
Taken last year on one of my out-of-town trips.

That cheap tiny wireless projector relieved the boredom on that trip.

Next time, I'll probably be lugging around a MR headset instead of a mini-projector though.
