Hi there, please recommend a good navigation for lumia 830. the build in one is pretty crappy (the voice tunr by turn is pretty sloppy and not working properly) and the HERE is no longer supported in W10 mobile. Also is there any chance I can see what languages are supported (both menues and turn-by-turn voice navigation) because it is for my father and he does not speak English. thanks

Waze. Just don't enable spoken street names, just spoken directions (e.g. turn left rather than turn left onto X road)

CoPilot is good and in addition to English, it supports French, German, Italian, and Spanish. The store listings for apps should list the languages they support.

How do you get Waze to work on W10M? I have never been able to get it to locate my location on any Windows 10 phone I own

If you run the 10586.xxx Enterprise branch of W10M rather than one of the later branches then the excellent Here apps still work, I much still much prefer Here Drive+ to Windows 10 Maps: https://forums.windowscentral.com/wi...xx-branch.html

Would you recommend that build for a 950 XL?

And do you have a link to getting that build?

I don't have a 950 to try it on, the 10586.xxx branch is the original branch that it would have shipped with though so it should work (don't know if it works better or worse than the later branches) and you should get it if you restore with the WDRT. To keep it on that branch you'd then need to apply the Enterprise provisioning package and tick "Defer upgrades" and it should update to the latest 10586.xxx build rather than the latest branch (it might still automatically update once 10586.xxx goes out of support though, you could block updates by configuring it to point to a non-existent WSUS server at that point though if needed).

If you are planning to use it as a serious sat-nav though you might be picking up something like a Lumia 625 (they cost next to nothing these days and have a nice big screen, I use one for navigation with W10M 10586.xxx/Here Drive+) though, I would be worried about wearing out a high-end phone like a 950 by having the screen on for hours on end for navigation (if doing long journeys) and it would mean you can keep your 950 on the latest W10M branch.

NAVIGON has many languages, many features, and uses the downloadable HERE maps. It's not free but I think it's worth it.
