I've reluctantly made the shift to Android - a Galaxy S8. I'm happy with the phone, but still feeling my way with the OS - and Samsung's unique version.

After months of using the Samsung apps, I've decided to switch to the MS launcher, and go back to Outlook, Edge, OneDrive, etc. but am still looking for better apps for Contacts (i.e., People), viewing and editing photos, weather, clock (with world time zones, customizable alarm, etc.) - and phone and SMS texting.

    Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

I think the default Google Contacts is a good app for Contacts (not sure if its available to all) and I like Piktures for photos.

Weather Underground is my weather choice but that costs a little bit of money to axe the ads.

I would have Signal for SMS and the built-in Phone app for Phone, but maaaaybe Google Dialer.
