Is it possible to set a custom location as home in Cortana settings?

Like the topic says.

I have several places saved in HERE maps, and I thought they'd show.

Am I missing something?

You save it under Cortana. Cortana uses maps not here maps. Go to settings > places > add locations.

Hmmm. I thought both would be baked into the OS with 8.1 update.

I tried through Cortana itself, and adding a place only allows me to type in an already existing place.

Hii I'm from Philippines. Using my scout in map app it says there that they couldn't find any places nearby in this category

You can do it from the Maps application (not HERE Maps). Open the app, look for a place or address or simply touch the map where you want your custom place to be (this adds a pushpin where you touched). Now save the location in your favourite places list, set it as Home and give it a nickname. The favourite places list in the Maps app and Cortana are the same, so it will be used by Cortana as your Home location. I've done this for a few places and it works fine.

Well, one day, she just popped up saying "you are frequently in this address at evenings. Do you want to add this location as your home?" I said yes, and differently as she did to other favorites, it does NOT show the complete address, just the city name.

Quite clever, in my opinion.
