What's wrong? I never said it was apple's fault, I said the iPhone 4 users are struggling with their devices while everyone with wp8 devices are updating to 8.1 and their devices are still running smooth (the majority).
You said: "But with windows microsoft had to deal with many phones." Then I simply said: so what Apple has to support only one phone? Maybe ms should've only made one phone, then maybe they wouldn't have had so many issues with rolling out 8.1.

September date is for US. Right, if someone buys a iPhone 4 now(Many people buy in India because of low price now) their phone is EOL already? If Apple keeps selling discontinued phones, I am really expecting them to replace blackberry. Their market share has already been decreasing since the last year,I doubt they can afford to lose more.......

so it's apples fault that people in India are buying an iphone that's at eol? Right, and I'm sure you're right about apple losing it all and going straight down the tubes and becoming the next blackberry. You're delusional, what world do you live in?

The focus also received five major updates-7.1,7.5, tango,7.8, 7.8 8862.Perhaps even more than that. So many updates even when it was eol in 2011. It got updates for the next 2 years. Tell me, which situation is better?
Ok, it got five or more updates. Great. It lived for what, all of one year and you have the nerve to bash probably the most popular phone on earth that's not even officially dead yet?

Honestly I am not sure why but I'm not really that excited, but I want to be.
Also I think some people need to look over what their definition of major means. Some of those updates are not major.

I know what you mean. To me and most others, a whole number is major. 5,6,7 etc.

Not always true. WP8.1 was certainly a major update from 8.0, your logic would imply that it wasn't.

It probably is, iPhone has become a name. I'm pretty sure more people would know of an iPhone than any Android, Windows Phone, Symbian, WebOS or Blackberry device.

And iPhone 4 got a decent amount of support despite being a single core device, whereas Windows abandoned all single core devices when Windows Phone 8 came out. Sad.

I am 100% sure, Windows Phone 8, 8.1 OS Devices will not be upgraded or updated to Windows Phone 9 OS.
windows phone 7 couldn't be updated to 8 because they completely changed the kernal. Windows phone 8 uses the same type of kernal as full windows did since windows me I believe. I think it is a high probability that most of current phones will be upgradeable (I doubt about phones such as Lumia 520 because of the storage issue with OTA updates, unless Microsoft creates a software which we can use to update phones with computer)

They screwed up WP8 by forcing a touch based UI onto everything and requiring people to learn it (a lot of people are dumb as bricks), and simplifying a lot of things to the point where they actually took away some advanced functionality that they should have kept on. Like settings got way oversimplified and SOME form of fiddling would have helped solve any kind of problems. I don't think lots of people still realize there is a desktop mode where it functions exactly the same as any other windows in the past (I think they're entrenched in 'mouse and keyboard' usage in the Metro UI which isn't the most mouse/keyboard friendly interface there.

They fixed a lot of what was wrong with win8 with win8.1 but they still needed the '***** proof' mode for the moron who cant wrap their heads around anything newer than what they're used to. Hopefully win9 combines the best aspects of both.

Nah, not too excited at this point, I would like them to FIX the problems with 8.1 before moving on to the next version.....Even though a ton of phones don't even have 8.1 officially available to them.

Sigh...Did you even read the facts that the team posted? They couldn't upgrade the single cores to Windows 8 because Windows 8 was an overhaul from the previous format. They decided to make it more like a computer (in that sense the closest to a SMARTPHONE) rather than just a normal feature abundant phone (duh). If Apple were to do an overhaul like that, then you would see a lot of iphones users getting left in the dust (mind you, iphones are nowhere near cheap).

And IT companies have to feed their employees too. How do they do that? By selling phones to consumers like us. Every mobile company is after your green, so you better share the same amount of frustration for other OSes too.

Windows Phone 9, hopefully, can bring some much needed rudimentary functions like sharing via bluetooth in the video hub, mass sharing via bluetooth in the music hub and reinstatement of the xbox hub as the centre for games (where you could actually find and uninstall your games). STOP FOLLOWING APPLE AND ANDROID. BE THE MASTER, NOT THE SLAVE MICROSOFT!!!

Microsoft is not going to kill what they build the past few years.. They are in it to win it. To late but finally catching up...... No way they let us down. It will be the end of Windows phone, we know it... They know it!!!

And... Don't be so nasty to people that actually care. Ok?!!!
