3 steps MS should take

Acquire Adobe
Buy Spotify
Adopt Java

I disagree with "adopt Java". Java is a security risk at this point.

I also doubt if any company will be looking to buy Facebook or Twitter at this time.

Arguments:
1. If they acquire the realm of design Adobe, they can control the area where Apple is strongest. (hollywood, music, design)
2. If they buy Spotify and make it default music player instead of Xbox music (I hope WMP is gone in Win10 already) they can be strong in music, where Apple is also the best (but trying to get into streaming with Beats so..)
3. If they adopt the Java runtime, all current Android developers that already know Java can easily adapt their apps, or even compile them with little changes for the Windows platform

Minecraft costs more than Adobe + Spotify combined.. are MS nuts?

After these changes MS will have absolutely everything:
computer, phone and tablet (and probably wearable) os: Windows
gaming: Xbox
cloud: OneDrive
development: Visual Studio + Blend, windows server, sql server studio, Dynamics
office: Office
communication: Skype (here they need closer relationship with Fb)
devices: Lumia, Surface
internet: MSN, Bing, NOKIA HERE
browser: Internet Explorer (maybe rebranded)

vs android: JAVA

You will hardly need any product outside of Microsofts ecosystem for whatever need you have - personal, business, development, entertainment, gaming. You will have the best products in their respective categories (which is all categories in IT) and all by one single company. Its even more powerful than Apple
