So there haven't been any significant leaks about IE12 since before Windows 10 TP was released.
Here is a summary of the big tibits we have heard about IE12:
An MS employee said in a Reddit AMA that changing the name of Internet Explorer was being discussed internally, though it has not been approved by the board.
The internal codename for IE12 is Spartan. There is an app in the Windows 10 TP called zSpartan.
Cortana on WP was once called zCortana, and Cortana was its codename.
IE12 is supposed to feature extensions like Chrome and Firefox.
The new IE is supposed to feature a totally revamped and flatter design.
Mary J. Foley at ZDnet speculated that the new IE may be able to incorporate research from MSResearch called the XAX Project that was about a browser being able to support and run full x86 programs through "picoprocesses." AKA potential for the REAL Chromebook killer.
