this new IP based messaging.. does that finnaly brings sending and viewing SMS messages via PC?

on 01/21/2015 MS presented some kind of IP messaging option (i don't fully understand what it is, i imagine it somehow helps the devices being more in time with displaying messages for skype)

however... could that mean, that we will FINALY be able to read and send sms messages from our PC (atleast when phone is near (bluetooth/same wlan etc))?

The way I took it is, whatever your contacts (People) are using, Skype, Facebook, SMS, whatever, you should be able to send MMS messages back and forth to all through the "Messaging" app. So, yes, that means you'll be able to texts from PC to phone, from phone to PC, from xBox to phone, or any combination of all.
