Most of the things work fine on the Windows 10 TP. It is really stable and most of things are compatible with compatibility mode. If you want to try it out and are wary of bugs, then try out the slow builds. Windows 10 TP is the daily driver on my laptop since November and have never really had serious issues.

But what's the catch for those upgrading from pirated Windows? MS recently said non genuine Windows will remain non genuine even after the upgrade. What does this mean? How will the non genuine Windows 10 differ from genuine one? This would need to be all cleared up before upgrading to Windows 10.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll upgrade. I haven't experienced any serious issues.

I'll take advantage. I'm already running the technical preview and it runs great. I have some major gripes with a number of design decisions but who wouldn't want the latest Windows for free? Even if you don't like it this is the Windows that's going to get the love and attention from here out. Better to have this and adapt than stick to Windows 7 and watch support for it vanish, going through the pains of changing the OS later.

Of course! I have a Sony laptop currently on Windows 7 and the Windows partition of my Mac is on 8.1. Both will be upgraded as soon as possible.

Then next time I visit my (less tech savvy than I, but not completely unsavvy) family I'll upgrade their computers too.
