Troubleshooting can't fix something on my SP3.

I've been trying to install this one update for two months, and everytime I've gotten an error. I used the Windows Update diagnostic and got this message:

"Service registration is missing or corrupt: Not fixed"

Can someone with decent IT background explain this to me, and how do I fix it?

Hi.. Did you figure out a fix for this issue then? Its seems like I'm having the same issue now..
