    Well should I? I know I should be patient but I have the link to the rtm iso download in my other tab and am considering it. Is there any specific reason(s) why it shouldn't be done?

    The problem is that you "only" know it after you installed it, But apart from that you will loose Windows Media Centre and there are people who do not like the touch experience compared to WP8.1.

    I had Windows 10 reserved on my Tablet, Laptop and PC for a month now, but yesterday gave in and installed the RTM via the ISO. Good news is, after doing an upgrade, if I do a clean install without the product key, it activates just fine.
