Why doesn't my Windows 10 dvd player, play dvd discs on the drive?

windows 10 dvd player doesn't play dvd discs on the drive

I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 "successfully".
The application "Windows DVD player" was downloaded included in Windows 10.
But when I put a DVD disc on the tray, the WDVD player screen remains in gray color and when I click on the start playing icon ( the well-known triangle) on the screen nothing happens.
Mi PC is a Toshiba Satellite L555.

Windows DVD player might have been pre installed for you. But actually it costs around 30$ in windows store. That's too expensive to play DVD right? I suggest you to use vlc instead

Looks like it maybe a video/graphics card driver issue.

Just for the record, the Windows 10 DVD Player app is $14.99, not $30
