Re: windows 10 error ... inaccessible boot device

Had this happen to my Lenovo desktop when I did a reset. Had to use another computer to create a Usb boot device. On the desktop I was able to change the boot device to the Usb port, and upon reboot it reloaded W10. Microsoft support was no help, told me it was my fault I didn't have a recovery disc. My desktop had a recovery partition, but I couldn't access it because of the inaccessible boot device loop. I now am keeping a bootable Usb stick just in case.

I had this happen to me out of the blue on my (originally Vista) desktop. Turned out that the BIOS was set to RAID rather than AHCI. I reset it to AHCI and the computer worked fine without any data loss or problems.
