I have Windows Vista and my husband has Windows XP, will we be able to get Windows 10? If so, how will the transition be? Are there any bumps that I should look out for?

You will have to pay for the upgrade one way or another. (whether by buying a 7 or 8.1 license and upgrading to that, then 10, or straight to 10.)

I would expect the computer to start fresh, so Id back up whatever necessary, and if anything, upgrade the XP computer. It is not safe.
