    Hello,
Back in July I reserved my copy of Windows 10 Pro. However, I have no intention of installing Win10 on my machine until at least next year. I thought *I* would be able to control when Win10 got installed; silly me! My machine has been sluggish of late, and I just happened to check Windows Update and discovered that numerous (*numerous*) attempts have been made -- and failed -- on my machine to install Win10.

I need to stop this. It's slowing down my machine, and as I said, I have no intention at the present to install Win10 (too many bugs still being reported, incompatible hardware and software on my system, etc.).

So, how do I stop Windows 10 from interferring with my PC until I say so?
    Thanks; appreciate any reply.

Unlike in windows 10 home, in windows update 8.1 you can change the settings to "check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them".
