Windows 10 - Difference between Outlook 2013 and Mail (Application)

Please explain the difference between these two and in which direction MSFT is heading. Outlook seems to have way more functionality, but the app is better integrated within the OS in terms of notifications and real-time message alerts.

Hoping Office 2016 will be the solution!

Re: Windows 10 - Difference between Outlook 2013 and Mail (Application)

Outlook has always had more functionality, since it is part of Office and is used in enterprise.

The programs/apps like Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, Outlook Express have always been consumer oriented and lacked features found in Outlook (any version).

Once Outlook 2016 is released, it should be the most full-featured email client available for Windows 10.
