Hi, I recently upgraded two newer laptops from 8.1 to 10.

One of the laptops is unusable at this point. Every hour or so I get a BSOD indicating a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error.

I had no issues with this laptop running Win 8.1.

Two questions:

1. What is the best approach to troubleshoot this?
2 Is it possible to revert back to Win 8.1?

Edit: I see that it is possible to roll back to 8.1, but first I'd like to see if i can resolve the issues with Win 10...

Thanks. This is very frustrating...

If there's a crash dump you could potentially open it up in windebug and find out the root cause. If you weren't having issues on 8.1 it's probably a driver issue as your hardware hasn't changed.

I downloaded WhoCrashed. Here is the report:

*********************

On Sun 8/16/2015 10:45:52 AM GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\081615-40156-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x14DD00)
Bugcheck code: 0x1A (0x3F, 0xF3A73, 0xD38DBD4B, 0xB3B8C4E7)
Error: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft? Windows? Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred.
This might be a case of memory corruption. More often memory corruption happens because of software errors in buggy drivers, not because of faulty RAM modules.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

************

It's gotta be a driver issue since never received this error in Win 8.1. How in the heck do I determine which driver(s) are causing the issue?
