Why are videos not playing with the upgrade to Windows 10?

why are videos not playing with upgrade to Windows 10?

Downloaded Adobe Flash Player -- YouTube plays and some FB videos play, but other videos are "black" death screen. What settings are needed? Had a Windows 7 on Toshiba A6 AMD quad core and Radeon graphics.

YouTube and Facebook both try to deliver HTML 5 video where ever possible. Flash Player is not necessary except on certain legacy videos and sites that are still using the older FLV legacy video mode.

Try disabling flash and seeing if you can view the videos that way. I have flash disabled and have no issues whatsoever on those 2 sites.

click on the gear in Internet exploreer . upper.right hand corner ....go down to internet options click on it..when it opens ....click on the advance tab and check Use Hardware Rendering....now click apply at the bottom and ok.....You will be able to watch videos in edge and internet explorer and as well as microsoft store
