Windows Central Question
Upgrading a Dell PC to Windows 10
I am having trouble upgrading my PC to Windows 10.
I received confirmation that my PC was suitable to upgrade to W10 and confirmation that I could start the upgrade process. However, after 4 hours, all I received is the "working on it" screen message. I switched off and rebooted and after another 3 hours, I have nothing more than the "working on it" screen message again.
How do I proceed to upgrade to W10 ?
My PC is a Dell Studio XPS 8100 with Windows 7, RAM of 6GB and a 64 bit operating system. I assume this is big enough to upgrade to W10 as Microsoft stated that my PC was suitable to be upgraded for W10.
My PC shows a PC issue re Maintenance - Check backup settings - Windows cannot find the disk or network location where your backups are being saved. Options are :
Change backup settings
Try to run backup again.
Does this affect the W10 upgrade process?
I do not have a clue what the PC is talking about. Can you help? Please answer in non technical language
Thanks
