Change default search engine in W10M Edge

Yes, the desktop method works to get the default set to Google and I now see "Google" as my default search.

But when I type a search term into the address bar and tap on one of the search suggestions, it actually performs a Bing desktop search instead of Google.

Very odd.

That's what I wrote in my first post :)

I got the same problem (just got identified Bing and Wikipedia :/ ) but as @Tafsern said, works after you change from mobile view to desktop view...thanks dude! :)

It seems to be a feature with Google - it redirects its search engine to where it thinks you ought to want it!
I.E. if you have a French IP you'll get google.fr whether you like it or not, and that seems to apply even if you're using a VPN which is sneaky. It can be bullied to give you the one you really want in Firefox but I haven't got to grips with Edge yet.
I really do hate companies that try to run my life for me!
