USB 2.0 & 3.0 flash drives suddenly losing connection to Win-10 Home. How can I fix this?

(USB 2.0 & 3.0 flash drives suddenly losing connection to Win-10 Home.

Is anyone else experiencing an issue of flash drives that are detected and functioning fine for a while spontaneously losing their connection to Win 10 Home? I don't have the issue in Win 7. One of the devices is brand new and has never been used on any other PC or OS. I reformatting another one that was originally provisioned on XP. No change afterwards, it still works fine in Win 7 and still has the issue in Win 10.

Sounds to me like you didn't install the proper chipset drivers for your computer. Check your manufacturer's website and, in worst case, try installing the W8.x drivers in case there aren't any Windows 10 drivers for it.
