A friend of mine is trying to upgrade his PC using ISO but he keeps getting an error that keeps restoring his PC back to Win8.1. His words "it finishes the install, gets to the copying files stage., then after a while it starts restoring my windows 8.1 back." The error code on the screenshot is 0x8007000E-0x2000C with the message "The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during APPLY_IMAGE operation."
Please can anybody help out with this.

1) how much free space does he have available as it sounds like he is trying to do an in place upgrade.

2) does your friend have a sd card inserted in the machine that is being upgraded to 10?

Hi, been offline for a while so the delay in replying. I contacted him with these questions as soon I got back online and he told me he's fixed it (he contacted Windows Support). Thanks for trying to help.
