You could try VLC.

VLC is a free program, just make sure you see if it wants to put 'other stuff' on your system. Don't just go clicking on it, read each window or you might get some spam sites that will be hard to get rid of.

I use GOM player. Go to download.com and search for video playersand you will find VLC and GOM plus others.
