Why am I unable to load SPSS after upgrading to Windows 10?

Unable to load SPSS after upgrading to Window 10

I am getting the following message when I try to load SPSS.

"The application was unable to load a required virtual machine component. Please contact the publisher of this application for more information."

Pl. suggest a solution.

Since SPSS is a JAVA based application I suggest you check if you have the Java Runtime Environment installed on your computer and if it's up to date. If so, uninstall and reinstall it, this might resolve the issue.

Well if Java isn't installed you will get an error referring to that.

The JRE installation could have been corrupted somehow. Possivly during the update process of the OS or whatever. Still worth a try. Other than that, his SPSS version is probably outdated and doesn't even support Windows 10.

Well if Java isn't installed you will get an error referring to that.

I had the same problem and it helped me. Now I can continue data entry in spss. Thanks!
