Corrupted windows live email accounts in win 10 mail.

This seems to arise if you changed your Microsoft account during win7-8 upgrades to win 10.

Solution

Log on to win 10 using a local account and delete the offending email account, log back on with your new Microsoft account...

I'm taking this as your using a POP3 email account?I've used live mail since upgrading to Windows 7 then Windows 8 anjd no issues. I;ve finally switched to Outlook but can still use Windows Live Mail.

No The issue arises when you don't use your existing win live account to use as your Microsoft account in windows 10 when upgrading, some how it corrupts the win live e mail account and you cannot delete it or change its settings.
