I'm on a Surface Pro 3 which I upgraded from 8.1 to 10 back in September. November came and went and I never saw an update for 10586. So today I downloaded and ran the Media Creation Tool. I elected to download the installation and to keep apps and settings.
When all was said and done I find I'm still on 10240 and Windows Update has nothing for me.
I see suggestions to install from the ISO but I believe I have effectively done that? Any other suggestions?
Odd, on 12/26/15, I downloaded the Media Creation Tool and created an ISO. I installed Windows 10 with the host machines internet connection disabled (to ensure updates weren't being downloaded and installed during setup) and the install is in fact the November Update, Build 10586. Just missing the .36 Cumulative Update.
See the screen shots below, during the install the "Date Modified" shows 10/30/15, which is when Microsoft compiled this release for the November roll out and the second screen shot is immediately after my first logon, showing build 10586.
