Microsoft Edge: Slide to Type, FFS!

Not being able to slide to type in the browser address bar is my pet peeve with W10M, considering I use Edge quite frequently. Why won't Microsloth ever introduce this? The address bar is used for search and it only makes sense to do so!

Because not every website, or even most for that matter, are actual words. Windows Central for instance, used to be WPCentral.com.

If you want to search, use the search key.

You don't understand. I'm having to tap-type in phrases like "the history of mankind in the stone age", or "the uses of bay leaf in modern cooking". If the address bar is designated as a search field then it had better be able to make searching easier and quicker. Heck, I don't even use actual words in SMS but I can slide to type.

Then use the search button (Cortana) to do searches...
