Both trackpad and mouse have become intermittent in windows 10

I have a DELL XPS. Upgraded OS to 10. About a month or two ago, I started to have issues with both my trackpad and my mouse. My laptop is plugged in and I have set it *not to* sleep.
My touchpad becomes unresponsive and I have to press the power button once or twice to resume the screen and touchpad responsiveness. And each time I have to reinstall my DELL BT travel mouse.
When I restart my machine, it shows the mouse in BT devices but it does not work, until I uninstall and reinstall it.
Yes, I have checked for latest drivers. And in device manager, I have found and unchecked all power management options for both the track pad and the mouse. Mouse batteries are fine.
