I am at a loss to explain this.
It was first noticed with Amazon Music Player. After a system restart, I would attempt to start the app and get nothing. Opening Task Manager revealed an active process, but the was no active app. Closing the lid, letting the laptop sleep, then awakening it, I was surprised that the music player would suddenly activate. I've replicated this scenario several times.
Adding to the oddness, after the recent Win10 security upgrade (KB 3124262), I was dumped into the infamous WinExplorer refusing to refresh glitch. As recommended, I ran dism.exe component clean up then sfc /scannow and no errors were reported.
But, after I closed the lid, etc. etc .... WinExplorer was back to normal.
To be clear, REBOOTING doesn't restore these functions, only putting the system to sleep.
Thoughts?
