Hey I need to send my laptop for repairs and I wanted to know if there's a way to lock my e-mail before I send it in?

It's recommended that you remove your email accounts first - they're easy to setup again anyway once your laptop returns.

It's not that; essentially, in theory, all your files in your PC (including your personal information) cannot be accessed without entering a valid login credential. But since not all devices may be that secure, there's an additional layer of protection called "Bitlocker" which will basically encrypt all the contents of your hard drive, making them useless to anyone who would try to steal some information. But this process may take some time in order to setup... and since it's simpler to just remove your email accounts temporarily, that's my recommendation.
