Third party power supply for Display dock (HD-500)

Are there any third party power supplies that work with the HD-500?

I bought the Choetech wall charger (usb c to c, single output 3A), it powers the display dock, but the LED stays red- it charges devices plugged in the USB-A ports, but not the phone on USB-C. Nor does it let my phone recognize the Display dock.

I would like to know- has anyone found a charger that works with the display-dock?

The Lumia 950 charger is the same that comes with the Display dock.

I've used the Anker Quickcharge 2.0 wall charger with the HD-500, I believe it charged the phone. I can check later.
