If it's your daily driver , I kind of don't recommend you doing this . You could be dealing with freezing problems / battery problems

Re: Lumia 520, 720, 920, 1020, 1320 Owners

You don't buy a car hoping one day the right sized tires are created for it so you can drive. I don't understand why people get windows phone knowing the app situation is not great. Waiting for something to happen is silly. You should use your money to buy something that currently allows you to take advantage of the investment. So those angry at MS only have themselves to blame.

I bought my phone because the app situation doesn't bother me. I don't need anything from the other platforms. And this platform suited my needs best for how I use my phone. And if it gets better, heck I won't complain. But my needs are being met regardless. If I truly wanted apps I could have shelled out a tiny bit extra for an iphone 6s plus, but I bought the 950xl instead. And It was a great purchase regardless of what MS does in the future. As long as I can still use it how I bought it.

Your life changes. So does your need. That's all there is to it.
This is why I am not angry at MS. I'm just disappointed that they were unable to optimise the older chipsets in the end.

Actually, they eben promised that all phones running WP8 would get W10M...
Promise broken, credibility lost :(

Do you have a link to that? I don't think I have ever seen that. I only remember them saying 8.1 phone and that all phone would be eligible for W10 (which they are with the insiders preview)

so there is no stable release for the L1320 even in the fast ring ?
so not only only my phone wont get w10 but also won't even be stable on preview release :'(

My 1020 runs perfectly on Win 10 .164, they only thing that it lacks is recording in stereo, other than that, it's brilliant.
I'm VERY annoyed there may be no further support. 1020 was a real star, still is

Unfortunately the people having a good experience were not giving much feedback.

Re: Lumia 520, 720, 920, 1020, 1320 Owners

Yah that is the biggest lie on earth. I have an ipad 2, ipaid air, iphone 6 and honestly after i believe ios 8 everything went down hill on the ipad 2. The ipad air has also lost some performance with ios 9. The iphone 6 I gave to my dad and there haven't really been complaints.
Funny part is my mom has the 520 and my dad finds it much easier to navigate than the iphone 6. And that's supposed to be intuitive. But ios 9 just is not very intuitive.

Anyways, even with all these tweaks ipad 2 just does not run like it did on previous versions. But at least it keeps security holes tightened.

Did you say that my iPad 2 not running good on iOS 9 was the biggest lie on earth and then go on to agree that iOS 9 doesn't run good on the iPad 2? I am so confused lol.

See my post or the one from gwinegarden on this thread yesterday around 11:15/11:20am.

It feels a bit like the WP7 - WP8 debacle (I know it's different, this time only 50% affected and only older devices). But my main concern is the app fragmentation. As a developer, going for W10M will leave out 50% of the mobile market and also, why should I care to update my old WP8 apps...

Is glance working? Im using 720 and glance is unusable.. Crashes everytime i open

Yes. It's working. It displays date, time and notifications. However, internet sharing still switches off as soon as the phone sleeps. I don't think this has anything to do with it's processor or RAM as claimed by Microsoft.

Re: Lumia 520, 720, 920, 1020, 1320 Owners

It's simple really. Microsoft asked insiders how w10m worked for them. They tried fixing it for a year and nothing got the satisfaction rates up high enough, so they can't officially support them.

They are offering .164 to every phone, they are just not able to give any support to some phones because there are known issues that they can't fix.
