Samsung micro usb to usb adaptor and missing files afterwards

I used my wd 3 tb My passport metal edition external hard drive with the Samsung micro usb to usb adaptor on my Samsung s6 edge. Now my files are hidden and can't be unhidden and xant be used on itunes. How do you revert the changes without losing everything. I did the run quick driver test on wd driver utilities and pass. Now I'm running the complete test. Am I doing something wrong. Can you help and hopefully doesn't cost a lot to fix. Note the hard drives says 2.50 tb out of 2.72 tb left so i know there's more than 20 gb used including this pc just not showing up
