Windows Device Recovery Tool shows new update after 10586.164 update on Lumia 730 (Non-Insider)

Hey Guys,

I have a Lumia 730. I am a non-insider. I got an official update to Windows 10. My current version is .164. However, when I connected my phone to WDRT, It showed that I have an update to install. When I begin downloading, the file size was around 1.74 GB. I didn't continue the installations though, I thought it might be an insider preview. I just wanted to confirm before proceeding. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

We won't know until you download the update and give us your new OS and Firmware version :)

But 1.74GB is always the amount of size when you install or flash the whole os to the phone. It won't be just an update I think.

Are you saying that the WINDOWS 10 is now available via WDRT? am I correct?

Edit: Probably not. I just saw your screenshot. It's not Windows 10 on the server

nope- what i meant was this firmware update was already available. OP hasn't updated a previously released update of wp 8.1 which will take his FW version to the current. and he has already upgraded to 10. which in that case he wont find a update under phone settings and has to rollback to 8.1 and get the update through WDRT

there is no FW update as of now :)

I'm always on Wifi. I never really got any update for 8.1. Can you tell me the current Firmware version for 730?

Guys. I have updated my firmware via WDRT. It brought back 8.1 and then I updated again to Windows 10. First .104 and then .218. Phone seems fluid, no lags and freezes. Apps are working fine and listed with correct icons. However, screen flickering in Groove is still there. Hope MS fix it soon.

Total Process Consumed 7 GB. Thank God I was on broadband. I feel pity for Indian 3G users :(
