How do I play dvds and cds on Windows 10?

I upgraded windows 10 from windows 7

Media Player is still onboard. I use that for CDs. DVD playback has been removed

For DVDs try VLC player... VideoLAN - Official page for VLC media player, the Open Source video framework! It will play CDs as well if you don't want separate programs.

I love VLC. It pretty much plays anything, including .MOV, .OGG, and .FLAC.
