New email notification

Upgraded to W10M yesterday, and am not receiving notifications for new emails received, no sound and the screen does not wake up.
Checked my settings, and everything seems to be in order.
Can anyone help?

Know iussue, there's a Outlook app update last hour, check it in Store -> hamburger tap- > downloads -> check updates

Try this, activate the Skype, you may not need to add your phone number but if you use Skype anyway no harm done. After that you should receive sms alerts.
Edit; Too hasty reply, it was email, not text message, you are after. But text message alert can be activated with the above trick.
