Lumia 950 Discharge Rate after 10584.218 or Mail and Calendar Update

Got the update for 10584.218 which seemed to go fine and got some app updates. Ever since the updates phone isn't lasting 12 hours, battery app shows a discharge rate of 8-10%, have turned off a few additional background apps but battery usages is comes from "Mail and Calendar" app - 81.8% or usage, all other apps say <1% and Mail and Calendar apps says that 91.2% of that being background run. I can turn off background run on the mail and calendar app but that would pretty much defeat the purpose of a smart phone existing.

Anyone else having similar issues or have a more reasonable fix?

Same issue here, really hoping for an update to fix this. Seems to be related to one of my pop3/imap accounts as I can't change it's settings as it's constantly syncing, and it never actually downloads the message. Not sure if it's the apps fault, or yahoos.

I have two 1520s with the newest build and one goes from 100% battery to 2% battery in a matter of seconds then shuts off, the other is fine. Completely weird and only started after installing Wm10.

I had the same issue on my 950XL after the .218 update and a hard reset - constant standby battery drain of 5-6% per hour not matter what I did. I searched and found on reddit a list someone made of steps to address this issue on a 950 (don't know how old the list is). Honestly, a lot of it seemed like superstition but I did do a power down and physical battery, sim card and SD card pull, reinserted battery/sim, charged to 100%, powered down, inserted SD. Don't know how or why, but it worked for me - now down to only 1-2% standby battery loss per hour, which is acceptable.

I honestly don't know if replacing that rigmarole with a simple soft reset would have sufficed. Maybe try that first? I didn't bookmark the reddit link but found it through a google search. It was like a 10-point list of which I only did what I detailed above.

Time to battery recalibration procedure. Then try swapping batteries

And time of following the checklist
