Pictures speak a thousand words, if we add a time line we are at the begining of the converged lines. Admittedly I have vented off at MS, taking a few steps back and looking at the big picture, MS have a great opportunity. Apple will release a car, an area it seems MS are not going to compete in (who knows) which is good for MS as Apples sales are declining the change in focus may accelerate that downward trend, again a potential opportunity for MS. IMO the convergence of lines needs to be given at least another 12 months in order to streamline and shine. X3 and then a SP.

Everything is always a year away with MS. This would've been a fantastic plan if it didn't involve leaving a whole bunch of WP8 devices behind. WP7 all over again. It's also a shame the convergence journey didn't include more of the UI of Windows Phone or stability. It's feels like a wannabe Android with tiles now.

Not really WP7 all over again. Most WP8.1 phones can get W10M. No WP7 phone got WP8.
