I constantly have problems dealing with the 260 character limit in file path/names and have read many times that a new GPO called "Enable NTFS long paths" was supposed to be included in the Anniversary Update and have seen many screen shots and videos showing it, but they were all preview versions. Does anyone know if it was pulled out of the final release?

Edit: Never mind. They moved the GPO up in the chain. It's no longer under "NTFS," but is under "Filesystem."

Follow up: This doesn't appear to work. I still can't copy files with long path names. (Yes, I did reboot after editing the GPO and confirmed that it's showing in the GP editor.) Did anyone else try this?

For me the Long Path Tool is a great tool to resolve some of that problems.
