Why don't we have good amount of extensions on edge?

I mean, even with default first party extensions they can have, for example weather, news, finance, proper translator.
Also, I manually downloaded some chrome extensions and converted them to run on edge using the tool Msft provided, some didn't run, some did so why not have more chrome extensions already?

Edge's ability to use extension is new. it'll take a while.

On the other hand, having to use the store app to download an extension for a browser is plain stupid. That's my opinion. Cos I'm used to the way it's done in chrome, opera, firefox.

I guess it's one more scheme to make people use the windows store.
