Reporting in. Running Win10 Pro x64 Insider Build 16237 and yes, the font issue does seem to be an improvement running on a 4k monitor although I have only done limited testing and remember this is only a beta build.

My system is 27" IPS monitor 3840x2160 with 200% scaling using 16237. Using 3840x2160 - 200% scaling with the current CU doesn't work for me. As has been reported earlier, the fonts appear thin and IMO is a retrograde step from simply using 1920x1080 with 100% scaling. I rarely play games so cannot pass an opinion in this area.

Whether MS continue to improve on the font issue in later builds or indeed the final release I guess we'll have to wait and see. I very much doubt whether they will ever match the superb display achieved by the 27" MAC and that's with Win10 using default MS programs.

Apologies - forgot to mention. My full spec Intel i5 1151 integrated graphics - 16gb ram, 500SSD.

Have always received differing feedback as to whether a dedicated graphics card would be superior to using CPU integrated graphics. Probably would if I was a gamer but as I'm not then the jury are still out on this.

Final Report - updated Win10 Pro x64 Insider to build 16241 and the font issue (on my machine) is fixed. At the same time my regular Win10 updated to 15063.483 and hey presto, the fonts are scaling as they should - no jagged edges. Spec as previous post - using DP with refresh at 60 Hz - 3840x2160.

Thank you @6391mart for taking the time to confirm that we got this fixed.

Issue reappears after installing the latest (at least my latest) update:

Current setup:
Windows 10 Pro
Version 1703
Build 15063.540

Laptop screen is a 4K with 250% scaling
External screen is a 2560x1440 with 100% scaling, external is set to main display.

Did not have the font issue prior to this update (putty et al).

I have the very latest GA Windows update installed.

The moment the install finished and I logged back in, Eclipse and Notepad++ had teeny blurry fonts. If I change the .exe settings to enable "Override high DPI scaling behavior", then I get attractive readable fonts that are unfortunately in something like 48 point.
