Windows Hello on Surface Book takes 15-20 seconds to start...

Hi all,

Recently, Windows Hello on my Surface Book is taking a while to start checking my face. The laptop boots up incredibly fast (as expected), but the lock screen almost always lingers on "Getting things ready..." for about 15-20 seconds. After that, Windows Hello starts up and it quickly recognizes me and logs in, as expected. But the whole lingering 15-20 seconds before starting to check kind of defeats the purpose, I can use a pin to log in five times faster than that...

Any suggestions? Has anyone seen this happening on their SB or any other Hello enabled laptops?

My SB is still pretty zippy with Windows Hello.

Have you tried going through the Windows Hello setup again to "Improve Facial Recognition"?
