Have you tried booting your Windows laptop into "Safe Mode With Networking"?

Usually doing this will let you know if a 3rd party app, such as a VPN or another software is temporary restricting your internet.

Before doing any safe mode or complicated stuff, have you tried doing a shut down and restart of both your laptop and your router, try doing this before anything else.

And I am guessing your "Wire" and not your "Wife" is white..............

I agree, that usually solves most problems.

Also I'm guessing OP is using a ethernet cable, so I would recommend trying a different cable.

I would also recommend rebooting your router. They can sometimes decide not to hand out IP addresses to a specific device. I mention it as this is usually the simplest thing to try and it does solve a good percentage of connection problems.

After doing all troubleshooting at home, you could also complaint about yellow/red icon to your ISP.
It's only the way if you've tried all things mentioned above.🙂
