In version 1709 in Settings, System has a Shared experiences setting. It appears that by selecting "Everyone nearby" in the "I can share or receive from" list, I should see other shareable devices other than just my own. But, when I click the Share button in Edge, I cannot find an option to do so. Should nearby devices show under "Connected Devices" or am I missing something?

That's only for apps which use this feature. None of the Microsoft apps currently do.
