Best Cortana Experience Outside of Windows Phone

I have a Lumia 640 XL that is beginning to show its age plus it will be no longer supported. I have to use an iPhone for work and I try to use Cortana but the functionality is very limited. I asked her to set up a timer for example and it opens a web page. I'm not sure if its an Apple thing that does not allow Cortana to function fully or what, but it is a frustrating experience to say the least. Can some one tell me if Cortana on Android is any better? I will need a new phone within 6 months to a year. I love and use Cortana for everything on my phone from setting reminders, appointments, everything. Thank you

A little but not much. It's the main reason I came back to W10M. There is no comparison to Cortana on W10M vs on Android or iOS. On Android, she will not read texts over Bluetooth, will not place phone calls or send texts. Very limited functionality. There is also no comparable assistant to what Cortana does on W10M.
