Bluetooth Mouse sporadically losing connection

My Microsoft Surface Precision Mouse randomly seems to lose connectivity for a few seconds before reconnecting. This is becoming a giant pain when in the middle of sensitive task using the mouse and it just cuts out. I've tried a variety of fixes, such as adjusting the power management settings on both the mouse and the bluetooth dongle, as well as the human interface power management settings.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I love the mouse, but it's getting to the point that I want to throw it throw the wall.
